My love for Kaninga’s spans generations. I first started eating their divine dishes back in the 80′s. I travelled and lived overseas and would often reflect on my favourite dish – the vegetable satay with tofu – no-one but no-one does a satay like Kaninga – and my mouth would water and my eyes would tear up with homesickness. I’ve eaten Kaninga’s takeaways with various friends and through my pregnancies – yes even morning sickness failed to put me off (!) and I’ve eaten at Kaninga’s with my three boys who rate it top knotch.

I’ve dined at some of the best restaurants in the world including the Burj Al Arab in Dubai but Kaninga’s is home to me – I have never known a restaurant so reliable, so friendly and so deserved of the five stars I give it and I can only hope Kaninga’s will be around to serve me through a lifetime.

These amazing people had a table outside their restaurant during the earthquake giving food away in the immediate days after the earthquake. Hats off to you, thank you for looking after the workers that were passing you by. Great community spirit we hope you open again soon so we can come in and support you!

We go here frequently and it is always great. Great service and staff. Great atmosphere and surroundings. Be warned! – if you go here once, you will be hooked :).
